Grandy Carson: The Future is Here

April 8, 2024 - April 30, 2024
What is the role of humans in a world dominated by the technological advancements we created? Featuring wearable art, digital works, and AI-generated images, this thought-provoking multimedia exhibit by Grandy makes plain the myriad of ways technology alters human perception and behavior.

As our dreams of ever more ambitious technical advancements are realized daily, humanity is left inundated by novelty with no time and space to reflect on our relationship with the tools that have come to dominate our lives.

What is the role of humans in a world dominated by the technological advancements we created?

This is the question at the center of a new multimedia art exhibit, entitled “The Future is Here“, created by artist Grandy Carson. Recognising that technology is multifaceted and not a monolithic entity that must (or can) be stopped for the preservation of mankind, this exhibit invites its audience to instead see these tools as means to further the endeavors that make us human, and to re-examine our relationship with them.

Curated by Bill Schinsky of CV Art Projects, the exhibit runs from April 8 until April 30 in the Perez Art District in Cathedral City.
